The Talbot Workshop is an annual mathematical retreat for young mathematicians. Every year we choose a topic of contemporary interest and one mentor to help lead a week-long workshop on the topic. The 2012 workshop is on the Calculus of Functors, and will be led by Gregory Arone and Michael Ching. Past topics included non-Abelian Hodge Theory, Fukaya categories, twisted K-Theory and loop groups, and geometric Langlands.

Every year, before Talbot, we organize a pre-Talbot workshop to help participants learn the basics, and also to learn about the topic of interest with people who many not be attending the workshop.
A group blog by 8 recent and future Berkeley mathematics Ph.D.'s. Commentary on our own research, other mathematics pursuits and whatever seems like writing about on any given day. Sort of like a seminar, but with more rude commentary from the audience.
